Powershot Sd110 Digital Camera
Buying a new digital camera online can be both an exciting time and overwhelming. Don't let your enthusiasm dwindle by buying the wrong camera or by being scammed.
There are thousands of camera and electronic stores all over the internet trying to compete for your sale. Sadly there are also a small minority who are nothing more than scammers ripping unsuspecting buyers off. How do you tell the difference?
Signs of scamming websites:
- Scamming websites do not always offer their address or contact details
- Prices are ridiculously low, much lower than their competitors
- Poorly arranged website, unprofessional 'feel' to the site
- No opportunity for customers to leave feedback or reviews of products
- No 'Contact Us' form if you have questions or need help with a transaction
- Scamming sites may ask for bank account or social security details. NEVER give this information out when buying a simple product online
- No shipping information
Some scamming websites have a professional ‘feel’ to them; the transaction might go through smoothly. However, the next day you will receive multiple emails requesting you to call their 888 or 800 number to verify your order. These phone banks are usually manned by young teenagers who do not speak in a professional manner; they don’t even own any inventory and operate out of their apartment with their friends.
